Assignment#12 : The day I brought my baby into the world

...................I would like to share the story that I am proud of. I was born in Tae-jeon in 1974. I married my husband in 2000. The next year that I married, I got pregnant. After 10 months, I felt that my baby was ready to come out of the world. I was in labor only for 2 hours. I went to hospital at 10: 00a.m. and gave birth to my baby at 11: 50 a.m. My obstetrician and nurses were shocked. They told me that it was the one of the most fastest deliveries in that hospital. February 2nd,2002 is the happiest and unforgettable day of my life and my family because my lovable baby came upon the stage of the world.

Life In the U.S.A.

......One of the saddiest memories I have of my childhood happened when I was a high school student. I went to the United States of America to study there and I stayed with American family in the suburb. The only way to traval was by horse. I didn’t know how to ride a horse but I had to learn by myself otherwise, I couldn’t go anywhere. Riding a horse without proper education was quite painful, especially, my back was so hurt. In addition, I usually took a boat to go to neighbors. One day, I fell from the boat and almost drowned. I never swim again in my life after that experience. As you can imagine, it was very a sad and scary memory in my life.

11th Assignment : How to Cook Tuckboggi

............Here is an easy way to cook delicious Duckboggi. First, choose thin white rice cakes for Duckboggi. Then, mix the sliced rice cakes with a few drops of sesame seed oil and cut into the onion and carrot about 1/4 inch. And then, deseed green and red chilly peppers and cut them diagonally and make seasoning, and mix it well. In a deep skillet, coat with oil, and pour seasoning. When the seasoning starts to boil add the onion, carrot, red and green pepper and stir for a while. Finally, add rice cakes, and keep stirring until all the ingredients are cooked. Taste to see if you need more salt or soy source and serve hot and enjoy your delicious cuisine. Duckboggi is the one of the famous and easy food ins Korea.

10th Assignment : My Hometown

............I am from Tae-jeon, the largest city in the middle of Korea. Tae-jeon is famous for being the center of the Korean express way and KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). First, Tae-jeon is located in the middle of Korea so that every headquarters of transportation is in Tae-jeon. It takes only 50 minutes from Seoul to Tae-jeon by KTX. Second, KAIST consists of many technology institutes and it has many smart students and doctors at this institute. eager Korean mothers want to live in Tae-jeon because they want their children to be influenced by this kind of academic surrounding. I love my hometown because it has a convenient transportation system and good educational surrounding.

9th Assignment : My Room

My room is very simple and organized. In my room, there are only 3 pieces of furniture, one bed , one nightstand and one dressing table. I don’t want to have lots of furniture at the same place. I‘d rather have spaces. However, I have some pictures on the wall. There is a picture of Gustav Klim which called “Kiss”, and I hanged my family picture on my wall, too. I don’t do many things in my room. I only sleep and put my make up there because I always want my room to be organized.

8th Assignment: My Personality

..........Many people say that I am outgoing. Frankly, I used to be a quiet person. However, I became more sociable because of my job.I meet people who are completely strangers to me everyday and I try to be friendly to them because they are my customers. I am good at starting conversations with strangers and setting good first impressions. My colleagues often say that I look so natural and friendly when I talk to passengers at the check-in counters the regardless of passenger’s age or gender. I also like to make my neighbors happy with compliments. As you can see, my personality is outgoing

Bokyung's Bedroom

.........Bokyung’s bedroom is small but cozy. In her bedroom, there is a big and bright window and there are purple curtains with flowers on them. There are two dressers. One is across the bed and the other one is in front of a big window. There is a single sized bed with pink comforters on it. Right across the bed, there is a vanity table. There are two cases of cello. One is a soft lather case right next to boxes and the other one is a blue hard case. Hard case is located on the floor. As you can imagine, her room is so cozy even if it is small.

7th Assignment : Kyungwoo's Typical Week Day

.........During the week, KyungWoo’s typical week day is routine but tiring. He wakes up at 6:50 a.m., goes to work and eats breakfast at Asiana Town at 7:40a.m. He works from 08: 00a.m. to 6:30p.m. After work, he eats supper with his colleague at Asiana Town, returns to his office and he does his English homework for an hour. After class, he goes back home at 9: 00p.m. At home, he surfs the internet and does online games until 1: 00 a.m., and then he goes to bed. It seems his typical week day is simple but certainly tiring because he only sleeps for 6 hours.

6th Assignment : How Kyungwoo is staying healthy

..........KyungWoo Kim does several things to try to keep fit. He eats 3 meals a day. Even if he doesn’t have enough time to eat breakfast, he never skips the breakfast. He also exercises regularly. He runs on the treadmill, and he works out at least 3 times a week. Another thing he does for staying healthy is thinking positively. He tries not to get stressed not only from work but also from his personal life. He believes that “stresses” is the biggest reasons for getting sick. Finally, he never works too much. Therefore, he tries to call it a day at 6 o’clock everyday. In conclusion, He does lots of things to keep in shape.

5th Assignment : My Hobbies

.............My hobbies are online shopping and watching American dramas. I personally prefer online shopping to shopping in stores because I am easily influenced by clerk’s saying in stores and buy some goods which I really don’t need. I would say I am a kind off gullible person. However, I have plenty of time to think whether I really want to buy the goods and compare the prices on the internet.
The most beneficial thing of internet shopping is that I can save lots of time not having to go to the store. All I need is my laptop computer and the little patience to find the right goods. My other hobby is watching American dramas and movies. I download them onto IPOD and watch them whenever I have free time. I think that American dramas and movies have better plots and story lines. But Korea dramas are always about love triangles or some Cinderella stories some poor woman finally meets the rich guy and lives happily ever after.

My Typical Week Days

.............During the week, my days are very busy. I wake up at 6 p.m. every morning. Before I go to work, I help my daughter get ready for school. After that I drop off my daughter at school and I go to airport to work there for 9 hours. Every tuesday and thirsday, I go to Asiana Town and take English writing class. Afer I come home, I check my daughter's homework and teach her English. Then I can do my homework for English class and write some report didn't complete during my work hour. Finally, I go to bed at around 11: 30 p.m. As you can notice, my typical week days are very busy.
